Welcome to our Beginner Skirt Sewing Class, designed for those who are familiar or played around a bit with a sewing machine ready to take the next step into garment‑making. In this relaxed, hands‑on workshop, you’ll learn how to create a simple, wearable skirt while building confidence working with fabric, and assembling a skirt from start to finish.
Guided step by step, we’ll focus on understanding basic skirt construction, body measuring, cutting, and neat finishing techniques. By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a completed skirt and a solid foundation that you can build on for future skirt sewing projects.
No pressure, no perfection — just practical skills, creativity, and the satisfaction of making something you can proudly wear.
Level 2 Beginners Class – 3 hours
This class is for those who understand the fundamentals of LEVEL 1 Beginners course in terms of operating a sewing machine and have an idea of how to sew.

- Fabric cutting techniques
- Pinning
- Elastic & Waistband insertion
- Drawstring insertion
- Sewing fabric pieces
- Hem insertion
Notes
All sewing classes are for anyone 13 and up. Classes for younger individuals are offered on a smaller scale from ages 7 to 12.
Please attend booked classes as there will be no make-up classes unless you go on a waiting list until a spot becomes available during another class
Each class will consist of a 15minute coffee break to network and relax and share your thoughts.
